We promote digitalisation of the integral water cycle and the sustainable management of waste using state-of-the-art technological solutions.  We design smart tools for decision-making that optimise the management of water resources and waste in all its stages, from treatment and distribution to sanitation, reuse and valuation.  We integrate monitoring and sensor systems in real time that allow for efficient control of processes, while artificial intelligence improves predictive analysis and operation.

Tools for decision-making

We design simulators and decision support systems (dsss) that optimise the management of resources and processes. These tools integrate modelling and state-of-the-art simulation for the design and operation of plants, helping to maximise efficiency and minimise costs. Additionally, we incorporate holistic assessments such as life-cycle analysis (lca), water footprint and carbon footprint with a view to ensuring an integral outlook that covers technical, economic and environmental aspects. 


 
 

Digital twins for the circular economy

We design digital twins that act as virtual replicas of systems and infrastructures, enabling operations to be simulated, monitored and optimised in real time. These tools are fundamental in identifying opportunities for improvement in terms of the consumption of resources, increasing operational efficiency and reducing environmental impact – both in the integral water cycle and in valuation of waste.


 
 

Cybersecurity for the circular economy

In critical environments such as that of water and waste management, the protection of essential infrastructures is a priority. At ceit we develop state-of-the-art cybersecurity solutions designed specifically for these sectors, thus helping to ensure that systems operate securely.

We develop AI tools to optimise the valuation and recovery processes of materials, allowing for efficient management of waste and waste resources. We apply predictive algorithms for analytical purposes and simulation with a view to maximising sustainability and reducing environmental impact. Our tools include lifespan prediction models, predictive maintenance and optimisation of recycling systems and waste treatment.
