This type of characterization offered by Ceit aims to determine the composition of the samples, as well as their thermal and thermomechanical properties.

• Microstructural characterization: optical microscopy; scanning electron microscopy, SEM; transmission electron microscopy, TEM; measurement of phases and residual voltages
• Physico-chemical analysis: ICP chemical analysis; C, O, N and S interstitial analysis; measurement of thermal diffusivity, thermal conductivity and specific heat; dilatometry; thermodynamic and kinetic study of diffusion; resistivity measurement; measurement of physical properties of dissimilar materials; optical characterization; UV-VIS-NIR characterization of materials including absorbance, transmittance and reflectance, contact angle measurement.
