The AmBIENCe project focuses on the answers that active building energy performance contracting can contribute to challenging barriers and new customer requirements. The success of AmBIENCe will help unlock the potential of public and private markets and facilitate active building energy performance contracting as a catalyst for the energy performance contracting sector.

Ceit's role in the project:

Ceit's primary role is to contribute to the development of the tool to support active energy performance contracting. Ceit will also be a major participant in definiting the methodology and concept of active energy performance contracting and its applications. Ceit will also contribute to the AmBIENCe project by developing, implementing and simulating genetic algorithms for the forecasting of renewable generation and energy demand for buildings and microgrids. For the validation phase, Ceit has prioritized member access to the experimental AC microgrid iSare. Algorithms developed in this project will be deployed and validated in the microgrid by Ceit.
