Two conferences were held at the University of Navarra’s Madrid campus to connect Ceit-IK4 with companies, technology centers and universities
During the month of June Ceit-IK4 made two visits to the University of Navarra’s Madrid campus, showcasing a selection of its capabilities in the capital. A large group of attendees from the business, research and academic sectors came to see first-hand Ceit-IK4’s research lines in the field of lasers and in ICTs applied to the food industry.
The technical conference 'Laser Applications in Industry' was held on June 14th in collaboration with Fotónica21, CDTI and Secpho. Yago Olaizola from Ceit-IK4, Santiago Royo from Fotónica 21, Pilar González from CDTI, Sergio Saez from Secpho and José Antonio Ramos from LASEA were the day’s speakers. The event analyzed laser applications in industry, focusing specifically on the possibilities on offer in advanced manufacturing processes.
The second conference, entitled 'ICT Technologies applied in the agri-food sector', was held on June 20th. CDTI collaborated once again, in addition to Suez and FIAB. The day-long event attracted a large group of attendees interested in knowing how ICT technologies can be harnessed to increase competitiveness and sustainability in different production processes. Speakers were Eduardo Cotillas from FIAB, Borja Saenz and Joaquín Suescun from SUEZ, Emilio Iglesias from CDTI and Maite Mujika and Tamara Fernández from Ceit-IK4.
The objective of both conferences was to raise Ceit-IK4’s profile outside of its local environment, as well as to disseminate knowledge acquired over years of research and to approach potential clients with an eye to establishing collaborative alliances in the future.
