Hijos de Garay and Ceit sign a framework collaboration agreement for R&D and knowledge transfer projects

Hijos de Juan de Garay and CEIT have signed a framework collaboration agreement to carry out research and technology transfer projects in the field of metallurgy.

The agreement aims to lay the foundations for a close collaboration between both entities that will improve the technical capacity in the production of steel tubes and brass bars, making them more competitive. We consolidate the agreement by taking the first steps in the R&D project called ECOTUBE, in which we reduce the weight of steel tubes as well as the environmental impact of their production. The agreement also covers the transfer of more general knowledge in the field of applied metallurgy.

This agreement, with a long-term vision, was signed on 27 March at Ceit's facilities in Donostia, where a visit was also made to get a closer look at the Centre's technological capabilities in the field of metallurgy and Industry 4.0.
