Precision laser manufacturing

Ceit develops precision manufacturing processes for industrial applications through applied research in ultrashort pulse lasers (femtosecond pulses).
Femtosecond lasers are extremely precise and versatile tools that can be used in a wide variety of materials such as metal, ceramics, glass and plastic, and enable us to process materials with a view to redefining the properties of the matter related to:

Solutions

Functional texturing
Texturing to increase reflectance and absorbance within the range from thz to visible, manufacture of metastructures, hierarchical structures and control of the contact angle.

Injection mould machined materials
Surface machining with submicrometric solution that enable very complex forms to be created with very narrow tolerances. We also have the option of depositing conforming film in order to increase durability of the part.

Decorative surface finishes
Combining laser processes with thin metal layers (cr, au, pt…) and/or oxides (sio2, tios, al2o3…), we are able to produce unique decorative effects by modifying the colour or producing iridescent effects on different materials.

Solutions for processing glass, metal, ceramics and plastics
Microchannels, embedded diffraction networks, volume processes.
