Ceit will play a key role in Rail Live 2023, the leading international fair in the rail sector

23 | 11 | 2023

The event will bring together world leaders and experts from the rail sector at IFEMA (Madrid) from 29th November to 1st December.

The Ceit technology centre will have its own space (Stand C092) where it will showcase its solutions for the sector.

Ceit will share space with InspectRail, the startup recently launched by the centre specialising in the inspection and monitoring of railway infrastructure.

The main leaders and experts in the global railway sector, such as CAF, Siemens, Ingeteam and Alstom, among others, will meet from Tuesday 29 November to Friday 1 December at the new edition of the international Rail Live! trade fair to be held at the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid.

The exhibition space will showcase the full range of innovations in the sector, from civil engineering and construction to track and rolling stock innovation. In this way, the event will serve as a meeting point for the main stakeholders of the international railway sector (infrastructure managers, operators, OEMs, maintenance service providers, etc.).

Ceit, a technological ally for railway companies

The Ceit technology centre, a member of the Basque Research and Technology Alliance (BRTA), has been collaborating for more than 35 years with the main companies and organisations in the sector and will have a prominent presence at the event with its own stand next to its recently launched startup InspectRail, dedicated to the development and commercialisation of inspection solutions for the digital transformation of railway maintenance.

From its space located at stand C092, the technology centre will showcase all the solutions it offers companies in the sector in terms of energy optimisation, railway dynamics, intelligent maintenance, materials and processes, Big Data, positioning and navigation, among other technologies.

InspectRail, a new path to the future

InspectRail, the latest startup created by Ceit, is dedicated to the development and commercialisation of inspection solutions for the digital transformation of railway maintenance.

InspectRail came into being as a pioneering comprehensive solution to optimise the functioning, management and maintenance of railway infrastructures. This approach provides a more complete, detailed overview of the state of railway infrastructure, constituting a milestone in terms of improvement in efficiency and safety within the sector.

Assessment of geometry and track quality, wear-and-tear to rails, the state of wireless communications, the dynamic interaction between pantograph and overhead power cables, the state of signals and conditions regarding vegetation are just some of the aspects covered by Inspectrail with a view to preventing incidents, reducing risks and improving operativional efficiency.

The trade fair for the transport of the future

Rail Live brings together the entire rail value chain, including infrastructure managers, high-speed, commuter and metro operators, as well as rolling stock companies, transport consortia and R&D&I researchers responsible for promoting innovation, investment and digital transformation in this sector. The event has a congress programme that reflects the trends in the sector and covers twelve central themes: signalling, cybersecurity, asset management, sustainability, energy, mega-projects and artificial intelligence.
