Summary

Objectives of the project:

  • Manufacture of nanostructured materials (nanowire type) based on metal oxides. SnO2 nanofibers and nanofibers.

  • Development of new resistive sensors based on the previous materials for security applications. Problems transferring materials to membranes. Membrane thermal stability.

  • Development of a portable and wireless platform for resistive sensors.

  • Optimization of SH-SAW (LOVE) mass sensors for liquids and gases.

  • Design of microfluidic cells for liquid measurements with SH-SAW sensors.

  • Optimization of cantilever-type MEMS sensors.

  • Integration with chromatographic systems.

Ceit's role in the project

Development of materials and electrochemical and resistive sensor devices for detection of polluting and dangerous gases.
